2-Day Horizontal and Extended Reach Drilling Operational Training Course

2-Day Horizontal and Extended Reach Drilling Operational Training Course

This is an operationally based course focused on what needs to be done at the rig site during the execution of these types of wells.  This course briefly defines the key operational risks and then covers best practices to mitigate these risks for successful operations.

The 2-day course is similar to the more comprehensive 3-day operational course provided by K&M.  As with the 3-day school, these sessions are custom-designed and targeted at the operational decision makers: Drilling Supervisor and Toolpusher, however, the course content covers topics that are applicable to everyone from the Shaker-hand to the Operations Superintendent.

Due to the restricted time available, the 2-day course does not cover wellbore instability or toque and drag fundamentals.  If the planned well is likely to suffer from wellbore instability, drillstring buckling or a difficult casing run, then K&M recommend the full three day school in place of this shortened version.
