4-Day Geomechanics for Drilling Engineers Course

This is a 4-day course geared towards drilling engineers, managers, superintendents to better understand the critical role of geomechanics when designing and drilling wells.  The goals of the course are for the attendees to gain an appreciation and an understanding of the types of wellbore failure, the consequences of wellbore failure, what information is required to mitigate the risks of wellbore failure and the implications of well design on the downhole hydraulic loads that are linked to wellbore failure.

The course is also meant to open a dialogue between the drilling engineering staff and the geoscience team to ensure that both are working towards the common goal of appropriate well designs and trouble-free drilling operations due to wellbore failures.
